At
the June 25th board meeting Mayor Wasowicz announced that
the Justice Willow Springs Water Commission
plans to start phase 4 of the Wesley Fields Water Project. This comes
as good news for the residents as the water mains, hydrants and
related equipment are being updated to today's standards. These updates
will provide a more than adequate water supply to the area for those
residents and for combating any fires in the area for years to come.
The mayor and trustees ask for your patience and understanding during
the construction. This is a major improvement for that area and the
long term benefits outweigh any short term inconveniences that may
incur.
J.W.S.W.C
notifies the village and residents of
phase 4 of the Wesley Fields Water Project in a notification letter.

The Village and the J.W.S.W.C. would like to thank
the residents of the Wesley Fields area for their patience and
understanding during the construction of this improvement project
On Thursday,
November 15, 2007, village officials including Mayor Wasowicz,
Clerk Kathy Svoboda, Trustees Mary McGee, Jeff Kranig, Ed Jurgel
and assistant Building Commissioner Jim Lurquin took part in a
Muscular Dystrophy Association
fund raiser. This fund raiser has individuals, under mock
conditions, arrested, booked and sentenced!
After being arrested by the Justice Police Department,
transported to the lockup and court location (Ruffled Feathers
Country Club and Golf Course in Lemont) they were sentenced
for one hour to raise "bail" in order for their charges to be
dropped and to be set free. Each offender's "bail" was set at
$1300. They were photographed in inmate clothing behind bars!
They made phone calls in order to raise "bail". We are happy to
report that they all raised their "bail" and then some and all
charges were dropped! In total they raised over $10,000 for the MDA.
Brodnicki School Principal Leah Wakefield also took part. Her
students gave her help with her bail and were amused with here
striped inmates costume as the Justice Police Officer led her
around to all of the classrooms before hauling her away to jail!
Other
communities, including Oak Lawn, Hickory Hills and more, had officials
that participated over several days of the mock
lockups.
All the
participants were happy to be involved with this worthwhile
event, had fun with it and raised a lot of money to help the MDA
